Pregnancy Help Canterbury Team

Dahlia Xander is the Manager of Pregnancy Help Canterbury. She has a background in education, administration, birth advocacy and antenatal instruction. Dahlia has a passion for helping families navigate the complex change that comes with becoming a parent, and nurturing the confidence to parent with love.

Sarah Apiata

Sarah Apiata is Pregnancy Help Canterbury’s Client Services and Volunteer Coordinator. She comes from a background in youth health and development. One of her most significant roles was at CanTeen supporting young people living with cancer. Sarah is passionate about journeying alongside people and providing them with support, advocacy and empowerment.  She also has an understanding and connection to Te Reo and Tikanga Māori .

Nicola Eccleton

Nicola Eccleton (Chair) is Manager, Social Inclusion at Good Shepherd New Zealand. She has previous experience as an advisor in local government, project manager in small business, as a teacher, and has an MA in Political Science.

Nicky Lee is an Anglican Deacon at Christchurch’s Transitional Cathedral. Her areas of expertise are volunteer management, pastoral care and community development. Nicky is a Life Member and former staff member of Pregnancy Help Canterbury.

Neil Brosnahan

Neil Brosnahan is a Manager at Community & Public Health, Canterbury DHB. His background is in health promotion, community development and NGO management. He has qualifications in Social Work, Business and Public Health.

Anita Moke

Anita Moke is a Family Support Worker at Early Start Project working with vulnerable families. She is a registered Social Worker with experience as an Attendance Advisor working with at risk children in education.

Mellora Ford

Mellora Ford is an accountant who has worked with charities, small businesses and multinational companies, both in NZ and Europe. She has a double degree from University of Otago in Accounting and Microbiology and co-owns a local kindergarten.

Hafsa Ahmed

Dr Hafsa Ahmed is lecturer at Lincoln University specialising in stakeholder engagement, change management and project management. She has led teams in both the private and public sectors and is a certifed Project Management Professional ® .
